Industrial valves for oil, gas and petrochemical projects
An oil-and-gas valve specification must connect fluid composition, pressure-temperature rating, corrosion mechanisms, trim materials, actuation and the full inspection scope. Fire-safe or fugitive-emission requirements apply only when named and technically supported; the industry label alone is not a design basis.
Operating context
Hydrogen sulphide, CO₂, chlorides and water content can change material, hardness and documentation requirements.
Gas service needs an explicit leakage criterion and may introduce fugitive-emission requirements.
Emergency isolation defines fail position, operating time, actuator sizing basis and control interface.

- ASME Class or PN, temperature, governing design code and corrosion allowance
